Job Purpose: To manage the day to day supply chain business needs supporting operation and management of Imports nationwide. Oversee the proper administration of the operational plans designed and implemented for these

sites respectively. Managing customer communications in a timely manner, assisting operations as needed, and ensuring all customers needs are met.




Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the development and implementation of processes supporting our Supply Chain needs. These to include PO and inventory capacity levels insuring service to our stores thru product delivery to our main hubs.

- Coordinates with other operational resources in the supply chain network developing the strategic and tactical metrics keeping capacity levels at proper WOS / percentages by site.

- Supports and manages supply chain PO impacts to inventory levels insuring capacities are not exceeded due to poor processing and or planning.

- Using PO management tracking specific to domestic produce vendors, mixing center shipments, container Imports export and domestic shipments.

- Designs, creates, and implements impact planning to the supply chain network for specific or multiple warehouses as needed by using the various systemic sites, PCC Portal, Whse Portal, Gold, TMW and any other tracking metrics available.

- Build a world class supply chain team meeting transportation and warehouse needs.

- Able to negotiate, maintain communication and act as liaison between carriers, vendors and operations.

- Reviews PO / SKU records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures supporting capacity level expectations and any impacts in an effort to determine adequacy of stock levels.

- Traces PO forecasting of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies to minimize capacity impacts.

- Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency within the supply chain teams

- Provide useful and timely updates during shipment lifecycles.

- Assist customers in identifying services that fit their needs and provide information on additional services.

- Source capacity to meet customer needs.

- Work directly with operations to support customer accounts.

- Utilize company resources to identify opportunities and service requirements are being met.




Supervisory Responsibilities:

- Carry out directory responsibilities in accordance with the organization policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, designing and implement management and operational

procedures and general problem resolution.

- Monitor and manage the drayage process of shipment movement (receive Arrival

Notices, ISF information before port arrival of vessel, create and send delivery(work) order, empty container return)

- Manage relationships with selected logistic team and make urgent communication in case of emergency

- Share with daily container delivery schedules with drayage carriers

- Analyze, create, edit, track and trace imports nationwide

- Monitor and drive improvement to customer service goals including on-time delivery, product lead-times.

- Report monthly on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for drayage deliveries

- Checking the delivery status and share with Operations, Logistic team.

- Document corrective actions and improvement plans properly, and verify plan& effectiveness.

- Perform ad-hoc reporting, as required.

- Perform other job-related duties as required




Minimum Requirements:

- Must have 2 5 years of grocery, cold chain industry fields at higher than manager level.

- Must have experience managing carriers, brokers in the transportation market.

- Must have experience in cold chain management both Whse and Transportation

- Bachelor degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university;or three to five years

related experience and/or training;or equivalent combination of education and

experience.

- Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.

- Previous experience managing, mentoring, and developing team members

- Previous experience as a Drayage Supervisor (or similar experience).

- A direct, empathetic communicator.
