Now Hiring Transportation System Support Manager/IT Tech Manager in Chino, CA
Pay: $65-$75K
Shift: TBD
Job Purpose: To provide managerial, operational, and working support for all of the IT and telephonic needs of the Transportation Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Position will report directly to the Systems Support Group General Manager with dotted line to the Corporate Director of Networks & Security, and the Corporate Desktop Manager. Will receive direction and guidance for corporate IT standards, policies and procedures as it relates to topics listed below. Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) knowledge is a must. Project Management skills required to ensure projects are completed on time.
Logistics
Experience in Logistics Operations required, including terminology
EDI as it relates to Transportation, manage EDI communications, errors and mapping
Bring improvements to operation flow to help automate process to improve on error corrections as it relates to billing and operation process
SOP creation and maintain process to keep updated with companies growing changes and training needs
Transportation Management System knowledge required (TMW Truckmate Systems a plus)
Manage system support staff and end user system needs
Networking
Assists in the planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modification to the supporting of local IT infrastructure.
Implements network security at the local level as established by corporate Security Director.
Oversees the administration and maintenance of the site s IT infrastructure, and directs System Support personnel when necessary.
Oversees the administration of the logistics LAN.
Telephone
Manages and administrates the company s telephone system at the local level.
Oversees all telephone changes, including routing for seating assignments.
Manages and administrates mobile phones at the local level.
Training & Lab Maintenance
Oversees the administration and maintenance of computer stations and software for company training programs and provides additional support if necessary.
Internal Systems
Oversees troubleshooting, system backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provides expert support when necessary.
Works with project teams to help implement Internal Systems.
Business Continuity Plan
Knowledge of SQL, VM Server Setup, prepare DC for System failover, working with operations to complete failover with minimal impact to operations.
Document plans for the turnover and need to be followed step-by-step.
Creating daily store orders through portal
Bi-yearly training and testing in sandbox to make sure you are prepared
Requires a level head in a stressful environment and quick response to minimize impact to the DC and operations.
Help Desk Administration
Oversees all help desk activities at the local level.
Responds to escalated help desk issues.
Oversees the administration and maintenance of our tracking software.
Interacts with internal clients on all levels to help resolve IT-related issues and provides answers in timely manner.
Add and remove user Window (AD) accounts.
Support Microsoft Outlook and Exchange email boxes.
Asset Management
Builds and maintains vendor relationships and manages the local purchase of hardware and software products.
Manages the purchasing of all software, hardware and other IT supplies at the local level with approval by General Manager / Corporate IT.
Ensures that the company assets are maintained responsibly
Designs, and prepares daily and monthly reports as needed by corporate and the General Manager.
Overall responsibility for the management of good sanitation and safety practices throughout the logistics technology areas.
Minimum Requirements:
Excellent communication skills and the ability to be a self-initiator who can implement and manage all Transportation programs as directed by corporate, the Human Resource Manager, and the General Manager.
Knowledge of Transportation Management systems, TMW Truckmate knowledge a plus
EDI Knowledge required (example 204, 214, 210, 945)
Extremely high level of Computer Networking and Logistics system literacy with knowledge and certifications in LAN if needed.
College level training with a minimum of 4 to 5 years experience in the area of system management.
Relational Database knowledge with maintenance and backups
Transportation and warehouse experience a plus
